Edgar's Story in His Own Words
"Hi, I’m Edgar, and I proudly drive a 2017 Elantra Sport! My journey with Hyundai began when I worked as a service writer for four years. I remember seeing the concept of this car and instantly falling for it ❤️. As soon as they hit the dealerships, I knew I had to have one, and I didn’t hesitate to grab it! This car has been a fantastic addition to my life, and my affection for it only grows as I continue to modify it.
In my free time, I love jet skiing, attending car meets, and enhancing my Elantra Sport. My passion for cars was sparked by my dad, who always tinkered with vehicles to support our family. He once owned a 1969 orange Nova, which he sold to provide for us when we were kids. To this day, we enjoy working on our cars together.
Driving my Elantra gives me a sense of freedom; whenever I face challenges, a simple drive clears my mind. I’m constantly excited about the new parts I acquire to enhance my ride. My car features a full suspension setup, Yellow Speed Racing coilovers, adjustable plates, boxed control arms, Whiteline ball joints, and sway end links for both the front and rear. It also boasts 22 mm sway bars, rear camber arms, a Sixth Element front intercooler kit, a BOV, and an EBC brake kit for both front and rear. Additionally, I’ve upgraded to a Sixth Element cold air intake, MSD ignition coils, and various solenoids, along with a JB4 piggyback tune on map 4. The interior is adorned with carbon fiber trim and steering, custom floor mats, and street aero side skirts and rear winglets. I even crafted custom halo and daytime running lights, along with tube headlights, right in my oven at home!"
